The Process

1. You will pick your team of four people that you have been transported with and will work together to complete a 10 minute presentation with visual aid about the Native Americans who lived in the region you will select. You may chose to make a poster, PowerPoint, or other approved project as your visual aid.

2. As a group, decide which region of North America you have been transported and make a note of it in the wiki on the moodle.

  • Central America
  • Southwest United States
  • Mississippi River Valley
  • Northeast United States

3. Use your book to figure out what Native Americans lived where you have been transported. If your group decides, a wiki has been set up for you group on the moodle. Please be sure to stay in the wiki for your group only.

4. Use the links below to research about your group(s) of Native Americans. Remember you need to know about their housing, diet, family structure, family life, and ways of protecting themselves. You also need to look for ways they interacted with other Native Americans (positively and negatively), how they were different from other Native Americans, and how life changed for them when the explorers came. A graphic organizer can be printed here if you would prefer. Decide what each group members' focus will be so all topics are covered.
